Knowing when to stop pond feeding in winter depends on what temperature the water is at. You should make sure to always have a thermometer in your pond. And remember, as winter begins, you need to begin feeding your fish differently to prepare them.
Once the water temperature dips below 70 degrees, you should begin to add a wheat germ base to your fish food. At 60 degrees, you should begin feeding your fish an all wheat germ diet, cutting out all other aspects.
If your water stays above 55 degrees all winter, you can continue to feed your fish. Make sure though that you stop feeding if the teperature goes below 50 degrees, as any food after that point could kill your fish. These tips will help you with pond feeding in the winter!
